To be considered for this role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • At least 3 years as a diversified machinist
  • In accordance with strict Federal Aviation Administration regulations regarding Safety Sensitive Work (S.S.W.), employee enrollment & participation in the company's F.A.A Drug & Alcohol Program is a requirement for this position.

As a Mill/Turn Machinist, you will:

  • Perform a complete range of operations on all types of materials on a multi- axis lathe. Common materials include, but are not limited to, stainless steel, inconel and AerMet.
  • Demonstrate their ability to check the features of their own work using inspection and measuring tools including, but not limited to, comparators, micrometers, calipers, surface gauge, & gauge pins.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in reading, operating from, and recognizing errors in, blueprints (GD&T), operation sheets, and other written instructions.
  • Detect unusual conditions, defective materials, and deviate parts.
  • Participate in the planning of work within their assigned cell.

Buffalo, NY $28.00-$32.00 Hourly

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
