Brand Activation Production Manager

Job Summary: The Brand Activation Production Manager will direct creative resources and project-manage activities to deliver photography, film/B-roll and photorealistic CGI in support of advertising and new product development for the Tempur-Pedic, Sealy and Stearns & Foster brands. The Production Manager will define objectives and creative vision; manage agencies to achieve deliverables; manage the TSI digital asset management system; track talent and asset usage rights; establish timelines and budgets; present in-progress and finished work to key stake holders and ensure flawless execution. The Production Manager will excel at working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and collaborating effectively with multiple cross-functional stakeholders. This is a highly skilled specialist role that adds value by bringing to life the brand visual identity and product features with still imagery and film that will be integrated into numerous consumer touchpoints.

What you'll do (Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Key Results Area):



  • Identifies production needs and organizes resources in support of development of cross functional communications plans requiring photography, film/b-roll, and CGI photography needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders - including Brand Management, Product Comms, DTC, Retail Marketing, Alt Channel, Sales Training - to define the creative vision, deliverables, and ensure Brand Activation Photography/Film assets are flawlessly executed, delivered on time, and within budget.
  • Leads new photography projects by preparing briefs, shot lists, and coordinating production timelines with internal and external partners for execution, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Collaboratively with Brand Activation team, oversees pre-production execution with agencies inclusive of direction on set design, propping, lighting, talent, wardrobe, ensuring adherence to shot lists and style guides; order and manage the shipment and delivery of TSI products to the production studio.
  • Oversees agencies during production, ensuring a smooth operation, flawless execution of shotlists, and trouble-shooting as needed.
  • Leads post-production of still photography & film/B-roll; ensures retouching and color grading are delivered flawlessly and on time; ensures that assets are appropriately loaded onto our Digital Asset Management system and funneled to stakeholders.
  • Represents Brand Activation Production on Product Communications teams; listens to stakeholder needs and translates those needs into photography/B-roll deliverables; presents work-back schedules, project updates and finished work.
  • Works cross-functionally with team members including Product Comms, Brand Management, PR, Alt Channel, Training, and the Digital Content Manager and in collaboration with the Brand Activation Managers, Brand Activation to develop product photography, B-Roll and CGI to support product launches and other initiatives.
  • Works collaboratively with Brand Activation and Product Comms teams to define photographic/film visual identity and creative photographic guidelines, including approach to lighting, talent, set design, styling, and wardrobe.
  • Together with Sourcing and Director, Brand Activation, sources network of agencies & freelancers that deliver excellent work with value for money, and to support growing needs of the business; puts in place MSA and SOW contractual agreements; manages suppliers at a high level; identifies and onboards new capabilities as required.
  • Oversees Digital Asset Management System; trains internal and external teams on usage; tracks and manages usage rights including negotiation of usage rights extensions; navigates asset end of life with cross functional teams; manages supplier relationship.
  • Tracks and manages production budgets to ensure accuracy of all costs. Processes project invoices and tracks expenses versus budget.
  • Other duties as assigned


Estimated Salary: $76,000-$109,000

What You'll Need (Qualifications):



  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in photography and video production with an agency, production studio or client-side on an in-house agency or managing productions
  • Strong creative eye with keen attention to detail; ability to translate vision into output through agencies
  • Strong project management skills
  • Must travel regularly to oversee photoshoots, estimated 20 weeks per year
  • Must travel regularly to head office in Lexington, Kentucky to collaborate with stakeholders, estimated twice per month
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
