Position Summary: The Calibration Engineer is responsible for the calibration program, maintenance, and repair of measurement and testing equipment within the Pilot Plants. This role ensures that all equipment is functioning correctly and meets regulatory and company standards. This position has 2 openings.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Calibration of Equipment:Perform regular calibration of various instruments and equipment, including pressure gauges, thermometers, and electronic devices, to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Documentation:Maintain detailed records of calibration activities, including calibration reports, certificates, and equipment history, meeting the requirements of pulling these record in a timely manner during audit and surveys.
  • Troubleshooting:Diagnose and resolve calibration-related issues, providing technical support and guidance to other departments as needed.
  • Compliance:Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including ISO, FDA, ASTM, and other relevant guidelines.
  • Equipment Maintenance:Oversee the maintenance and repair of calibration equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working order.
  • Quality Assurance:Implement quality control procedures to ensure the integrity of the calibration process.
  • Training:Provide training and support to staff on proper use and maintenance of calibrated equipment.
  • Continuous Improvement:Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance calibration processes and efficiency.

Job Qualifications (Minimum Education, Experience, and Knowledge)

  • Education:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Experience:Previous experience in calibration or metrology is preferred. Experience with ProCal or other calibration management software is preferred. Automation skills with PLCs and HMI is also appreciated.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in using calibration equipment and software.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
