Position Summary: In this role, the successful candidate we are looking for is a highly motivated and passionate HPC Systems Engineer who has expertise in building High Performance Computing (HPC) infrastructure and systems. The ideal candidate should have a background working with researchers in the life sciences and experience with HPC computation and parallel storage systems. The HPC Systems Engineer applies his/her technical expertise and skills to manage operation of the NYULH HPC Core computing platforms. This position assumes primary responsibility for building, deploying and maintaining the HPC infrastructure within NYULHHPCC among other systems administrative duties. He/she also shares the responsibility for user education and user support, including development of training catalog and delivery of training modules. The position reports and operates under the guidance of the Director, HPC at NYULH, working closely and collaboratively with NYULH faculty members and other Medical Center IT (MCIT) staff. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
