Cox Enterprises is hiring a Business Support Specialist to join our team! The Business Support Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and execution of initiatives within the Assurance, Risk, & Enablement department. This position provides essential project coordination and organizational and administrative support to senior leadership and the department, helping drive key initiatives forward.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination and Management:

    • Learn and navigate various software applications for reporting and status updates.
    • Develop and manage project plans across diverse project types, ensuring clear timelines and deliverables.
    • Track and communicate project status, risks, and updates to team members and stakeholders.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the department.
  • Insight Generation and Decision Support:

    • Evaluate business situations, trends, and information to generate insights that inform decisions and drive positive outcomes.
    • Utilize strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to present findings that support leadership in planning and execution.
  • Relationship and Stakeholder Management:

    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of initiatives.
    • Engages with Senior Executive leadership to support leaders, programs, and initiatives.
    • Manage complex relationships through effective scheduling, planning, and communication while upholding confidentiality.
  • Administrative and Operational Support:

    • Provide high-level administrative support, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements for senior leaders.
    • Coordinate resources and supplies for meetings, events, and general office needs.
    • Maintain records related to corporate insurance policies, bonds, and certificates.
  • Team and Event Coordination:

    • Facilitate internal team meetings and coordinate team events and initiatives.
    • Act as a liaison between departments to ensure effective implementation and adoption of initiatives.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field and 2 years of relevant experience.

    • Alternatively, a master's degree with up to 2 years of experience or 6 years of directly related experience.
  • Proficiency in modern office software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Office Suite.

USD 65,500.00 - 98,300.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $65,500.00 - $98,300.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
