Job Profile Summary:
Responsible for the replenishment of products to the primary location to ensure adequate availability for picking. Move, load, and unload products within the warehouse from reserve storage to primary storage manually and by using various types machinery. Breaks products down appropriately from pallets and manufacturer's packaging into proper storage and selling units for the primary location. Rotates inventory as necessary to ensure most recent expiration dates are picked first. Ensures flammable and refrigerated items are properly stored.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Moves, loads, and unloads products within the warehouse from reserve storage to primary storage using various types of machinery (forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, and various trucks) or manually on foot, by cart or manual pallet jack.
• Addresses product shorts by reviewing consolidated and move tickets as well as manual notifications filled out by pickers.
• Breaks a product down appropriately from pallets and manufacturer's packaging into proper storage and selling units for the primary location.
• Rotates inventory as necessary to ensure most recent expiration dates are picked first.
• Ensures flammable and refrigerated items are stored in appropriate locations. Disposes of empty pallets and packaging appropriately.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION and COMPENSATION: Knowledge of basic warehousing operations and high school diploma or comparable work experience required. To the extent this job is performed in Sparks, Nevada, the hourly rate for this position is $19.25. For internal promotions, this position will be offered at an increase of $1.25 to a current employee's hourly rate. For lateral internal transfers, there will be no change to a current employee's hourly rate.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Ability to pass machine driver safety training for all required equipment. Basic reading, writing and math skills. Ability to communicate clearly, follows instructions and work in a team. Detail oriented, good problem solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks. Basic product knowledge preferred for familiarity with selling units and to distinguish how products are to be stored.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES: Continuous lifting up to 50 pounds. Machine work, floor work/walking. May be exposed to dust, hazardous items, and various temperatures including occasional work in a refrigerated environment.
