Pay 13

Reports To: RVP

Salary: $68,000-$73,000/yr.

Job Summary

The Training Manager manages all aspects of Canteen One training programs outside of HR. The purpose is to be responsive to the business needs as it relates to Associate development and strategic organizational initiatives by assessing training needs, developing programs, coordinating training activities, and ensuring the effectiveness of training initiatives across the organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Program Development and Implementation: Design, develop, and implement comprehensive programs; Assess training needs; Develop training assessments to validate comprehension and retention.
  • Program Management: Map out annual training plans; Collaborate with Management to determine mandatory trainings; Market available training opportunities to employees.
  • Training Coordination and Facilitation: Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions using various media formats; Host train-the-trainer sessions.
  • Project Management: Define training project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals; Proactively communicate training project details; maintain all pertinent training documentation; Ensures that training milestones and goals are met; Prepare and manage the training budget.
  • Evaluation and Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement; Incorporate best practices and lessons learned; Gather feedback from management to ensure training supports and anticipates business needs; Develop tools to measure training program success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field or an equivalent of four years in training development and project management or organizational development
  • A minimum of four (4) years of business experience
  • Certified Professional in Training Management (CPTM) or Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD), preferred
  • Three years of Training/Organizational Development experience, preferred
  • Two years' experience in managing Training Department, preferred
  • Two years' experience in curriculum development/instructional design, preferred
  • Understanding of personality and adult learning and the role it plays in facilitating learning
  • Excellent delivery and facilitation skills (in-person and virtually) that drive key learning outcomes and motivate application beyond the classroom
  • Ability to create/adapt training materials/programs: eLearning courses, facilitator guides and participant workbooks
  • Proficient in distance learning including delivering training in virtual classroom environment, such as Microsoft Teams and WebEx Conferencing
  • Change management
  • Project management
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Industry savvy and consultative partner
  • Proficiency all MS Suite, including PPT
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with excellent presentation skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strategic thinker
  • Able to prioritize and multi-task, and detail oriented
