JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Bellisario Facilities and IT office is looking for highly motivated individual who possess exceptional interpersonal skills, and who exhibit outstanding professionalism to provide IT Support to students, staff, and faculty of The Pennsylvania State University.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • - Ensure each customer receives excellent service while addressing and resolving questions.
  • - Track and route incidents using the appropriate tool, and contribute to technical documentation and FAQs.
  • - Maintain conference room systems and ensure computer lab equipment is fully functional.
  • - Add paper and change toner in printers.
  • - Assist with connecting personal devices (Mac, Windows, iOS, Android) to the PSU wireless network.
  • - Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure computer and peripheral equipment availability.
  • - Provide audio-visual support in classrooms and event spaces.
  • - Perform other related duties as assigned for efficient and effective work unit functioning.
  • - Install and maintain new and existing college-managed devices (Windows, MAC, iOS, Android), including hardware, peripherals, accessories, and specific software sets.
  • - Troubleshoot user issues related to hardware, software, and peripherals as they arise.
  • - Create and update trouble tickets, document progress, and communicate back to users according to unit guidelines.
  • - Coordinate warranty service and perform out-of-warranty repairs.
  • - Interface with internal and external vendors to resolve hardware and software issues.
  • - Educate Bellisario users/guests on University/College information security and assurance policies, principles, and practices.
  • - Assist in organizing and inventorying IT equipment physically and using an asset management system.
  • - Troubleshoot and maintain A/V equipment in conference rooms and labs.

Anticipated weekly 32 hours onsite between the hours of 8:00AM-5:00PM, Monday through Friday. Estimated hourly pay is $20.00

The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
