Onsite - Buffalo, NY Moog Space and Defense Groupis the operating group with the longest heritage at Moog. We are also "revolutionizing the way to space" by supporting the return of humans to the Moon and NASA's deep space exploration programs. The Project Augustus team in the Moog Space and Defense Group is looking for a Quality Assurance Lead to join them. The Quality Assurance Lead is responsible to Develop, maintain and administer an effective Quality Control Plan possessing a high degree of integrity at cost consistent with the contract and appropriate risk levels. This position can be located at our East Aurora, NY; or Niagara Falls, NY; locations. To be considered for the Quality Assurance Lead, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or related degree
  • At least 7 years of quality assurance experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment including experience with AS9100 or other similar quality management system
  • Ability to manage in a fast paced growth environment
  • This job requires an active US Government security clearance or the ability to obtain one. This clearance requires U.S. citizenship.
  • Ability to manage through influence without direct line reporting in some cases
As aQuality Assurance Lead, you will:
  • Develop, maintain and administer an effective Quality Control Plan possessing a high degree of integrity at cost consistent with the contract and appropriate risk levels for receiving inspection, manufacturing operations, assembly & test processes, and final inspection.
  • Represent the quality function on the PMO Staff.Be a key stakeholder on program teams in meeting contractual requirements and driving crucial quality related decisions for our customers.
  • Coordinate resources with appropriate function management across Moog sites.
  • Implement company policy and assure compliance of Moog Systems and procedures to appropriate governmental regulations.
  • Acts as the primary interface between Moog and its supplier base for quality related issues including technical liaison for supplier issues and ensuring that the suppliers are capable of adhering to Moog's quality flow down requirements.
  • Where there is a deficiency in the performance of a currently approved supplier the incumbent is accountable to establish root cause, identify appropriate corrective actions and verify closure.
  • Participates in program review meetings with Moog and Moog's customer. Conducts supplier visits, as required.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $110,000.00-$145,000.00 Annually

Salary Range Disclaimer

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
