DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Clerical Assistant 2 in this position will provide clerical and office support to ensure operations are conducted efficiently and effectively in the county organization. Types various clerical documents such as letters, vouchers, memos, meeting minutes, and agendas; proofreads and uses own judgment to properly correct grammar and format to department rules and standards. Answers the office telephone to include operating telephone directories, multiple line switching to receive multiple incoming calls, transferring callers to correct individual, and receiving transmittals and listening to public concerns. You will act as receptionist/radio dispatcher during months when winter dispatchers are not available. You will respond to and direct inquiries and issues to the appropriate individual as required.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 7:30am to 3:30pm, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Occasional OT and/or travel required.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Ebensburg.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
