DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will perform clerical activities to assist the Bucks County Maintenance Office (MO) management staff in ensuring that all aspects, policies & procedures, goals and objectives are met.

Primary program responsibilities for this position include the following:

  • Reviewing and processing garage personnel payroll making adjustments as needed.
  • Maintaining, verifying, and processing employee leave requests.
  • Maintaining garage files and assisting in the preparation, review, and input of work orders and accident reports.
  • Gathering and organizing information in support of a variety of correspondence and reports related to garage operations from rough drafts, outlines or general instructions,
  • Answering telephones, greeting internal and external customers to provide services or directing them to the appropriate point of contact promptly and courteously.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
