ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsibility includes attaining FAA Certificated Repairman, Certified Weld Inspector certification, CMM operation including maintenance, monitoring, and reporting of the calibration program.
  • Develop, manage, and coordinate training of inspection personnel for receiving materials and services, preliminary, hidden damage, in-process, and final inspection processes.
  • Investigate and determine root cause of non-conformance by initiating corrective or preventive action procedures and verifying the effectiveness of corrective actions. Maintain, monitor, and report quality database to ensure timely completion of corrective action has been satisfactorily implemented.
  • Coordinating the interdepartmental efforts required to comply with quality assurance requirements.
  • Reporting on the performance of the quality system to management for review and as a basis for improvement of the quality system.
  • Communicating to all levels on the status of the quality management system.
  • Assist in general quality activities including control of quality records, monitoring quality goals and objectives at all levels, evaluation/disposition of non-conformances, completion of internal process audits.
  • Monitor and maintain instruments including instrument recall, instrument calibration, monitor and maintain process control testing, temperature uniformity surveys, burnouts and leak ups.
  • Monitor and maintain outside processing including evaluation of suppliers, generating quality surveys, review certifications of conformances and review test reports.
  • Support in-process and final inspection processes, receiving inspection, contract review, first article inspections, generate and sign certifications.
  • Must be thoroughly familiar with commercial, aircraft, and aerospace specification, ASME and military specification codes as required.
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, be detail oriented and able to meet deadlines.
  • Other duties as assigned or dictated by position.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1-3 years related Quality experience and training. Brazing, Metal Forming experience preferred.
