Responsibilities

Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center is a 182-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful Oakland Park neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale FL. FLBHC features individual units for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. On average, over 10,000 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center.

Referral Coordinator - Mon - Friday - 2:00p - 10:30pm

The referral coordinator will assist Admissions will referrals and must have a full understanding of marketing.

Qualifications

Education/Training:

  • A Bachelor's Degree, Master's preferred in a behavioral health area, marketing, business administration or related field is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or equivalent, preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of (2) years experience in health care business development/marketing environment and a knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment principles preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

  • Must have valid Driver's License

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrates superior customer service skills to external and internal customers.
  • Computer savvy
  • Knowledge of senior management credentials.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to meet corporate deadlines, and skill in organizing and prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task between accounts and/or referral sources.
  • Knowledge of the terms 'Account' and 'Call'. Account is defined as any referral source.
  • Sensitive and aware of diverse cultures and their practices.
