Job Description
We seek a Systems Administrator with a Secret Clearance at the medical testing facility. The role is both dynamic and critical! As a Systems Administrator, you will:
- Work with a team of driven, supportive, and highly skilled professionals onsite at the METIC facility in Chantilly, Va.

A week in the life of a Systems Administrator:
- Engages with users both face-to-face and virtually, solving various technical challenges to ensure smooth operations.
- Coordinates with testing and engineering personnel, they ensure that essential services like SCCM, Active Directory, MECM, Trellix, and McAfee are correctly configured and deployed.
- Verifies the implementation of patches, upgrades, and modifications on MS Windows and Linux systems to maintain security and efficiency.
- Maintains procedural documentation and Knowledge Base (KB) articles, sharing their expertise through training and mentorship of team members.
- Coordinating with testers and technical staff, you will maintain the testing capability in an operational state, ensuring the facility runs seamlessly.
- Ensures both the users and systems operate at their best, underpinning critical medical testing activities.
Job Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Security+ certification.
- Minimum 2-4 years with JOMIS/TMIP-J systems operations support.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in MS Windows system administration.
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple tasks with various teams independently.
- Experience working within a disciplined, process based SDLC.
- Experience using Jira Service Management, Jira Software, and Confluence.
- Experience managing and mitigating system security risks.
- Will accept technical certification credit for military experience, where possible
- Virtualization experience using VMware / vSphere.
- Familiarity with routing and switching concepts.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $100,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
