*Job Description:*
Our client has an immediate hiring need to bring on a Level 1 Data Center Technician for their Bend, Oregon Data Center. This role is a 6-month contract. Start date will be the week of January 6th, and interviews will be held this week. To be considered, your resume must clearly show the top skills listed below in some format. Hours are M-F 8-5. *Top Skills:* * Basic data center experience and understanding (Training provided for Rack & Stack, cabling, etc.) - 1+ year * Basic IT experience * Hardware troubleshooting *Responsibilities*: * Secure, operate, monitor, and maintain data center service levels and facility integrity. * Ensure availability, business continuity, and security for internal and external customers. * Maintain high standards for the integrity and functionality of hosted computer environments and support services. *Security Duties:* * Staff the main data center security station and enforce access control measures. * Detect and dispatch help for trouble situations and attempt troubleshooting. * Conduct routine walkthroughs, correcting appearance and functional issues. * Chaperone vendors and guests as needed. * Respond to trouble situations and conduct troubleshooting until on-call personnel arrive. * Monitor and record vital statistics, producing shift and weekly reports. * Maintain accurate incident and change records and logs. *Technician Support:* * Monitor and operate critical data center functions and facilities. * Assist with customer support tickets, monitoring managed services, and hardware installation. * Provide "Remote Hands" assistance as requested by customers. * Install fiber/Ethernet cross-connect cabling for new circuits and projects. * Perform nightly cleaning duties of the data center environment. *Experience Level:* * Entry Level *Additional Information:* * High School Diploma, GED, or HSED required. * 2+ years' experience in a technical or customer support role. * Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. * Must be able to climb equipment and walk on rooftops and cat-walks. * Must obtain ITIL Certification within 12 months of hire, or work with management to pursue a reasonable alternative within 18 months. *Interview Process:* * Video interviews will be held this week. *Workplace Type:* * On-site *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00 * Medical, dental & vision * Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital * 401(k) Retirement Plan - Pre-tax and Roth post-tax contributions available * Life Insurance (Voluntary Life & AD&D for the employee and dependents) * Short and long-term disability * Health Spending Account (HSA) * Transportation benefits * Employee Assistance Program * Time Off/Leave (PTO, Vacation or Sick Leave) *Workplace Type* This is a fully onsite position in Bend,OR. *Application Deadline* This position will be accepting applications until Dec 26, 2024.
