Summary of Job Duties:The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), in collaboration with the UAMS Institute for Community Health Innovation (ICHI), is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor faculty position within the Biostatistics Department. This 12-month appointment is located in Northwest Arkansas and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research, education, and community health initiatives. Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in biostatistics, statistics, or a closely related quantitative field.
  • Expertise in the application of statistical and research methods
  • Record of, or potential for, collaborative research
  • Strong computing skills, including extensive SAS and/or R experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Statistical Expertise

  • Demonstrated proficiency in statistical design and data analysis.

Collaborative Research

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively on grant applications and study implementation, with a strong publication record.

Leadership and Mentorship

  • Experience in supervising and mentoring biostatisticians, fostering a supportive and productive work environment.

Educational Contribution

  • Commitment to the education and training of students, fellows, and faculty members.

Methodological Research

  • Active engagement in statistical methodology research.

Representation Skills

  • Effective communication and representation abilities for committee participation
