Terminal Operations Intern

The terminal operations and business development group seeks bright, ambitious and personable intern to support the group. This role includes but is not limited to administrative and secretarial tasks, handling telephone calls, processing expense reports, creating reports and working on budget preparation. Tasks will also include invoice processing, record keeping, and maintenance of departmental files, calendaring, meeting planning, as well as travel scheduling and coordination.

  • Meeting preparation and meeting notes transcription.
  • Create presentations, reports and proposals.
  • Create and maintain files and effectively organize the office of the SVP and AVP of the group.
  • Effectively manage and execute key administrative projects as needed.
  • Build, develop, and grow strong, collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Currently a College Student
  • Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to operate independently with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Outstanding ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization and demonstrate a team-oriented work style.
  • Time management and multi-tasking skills -- Ability to effectively multitask, juggle shifting priorities, deliver quickly and adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willing to work in a challenging, high pressure atmosphere
  • Demonstrate and the following personal attributes: be respectful, honest and trustworthy, highly organized, outstanding interpersonal skills, be an independent worker who is able to multi-task.
  • Must be able to commit to 40 hours per week from June 4th - August 10th.
  • The internship program is designed to give students not only corporate experience but also the opportunity to learn more about the industry and Global itself. This summer program consists of formal info sessions with the executive team and others from around the business and developing a group project that is presented at the end of the 10 weeks.
