The Grant Program Administrator for the Evelyn F. McKnight Brain Institute (EMBI) will provide grant management support, including reporting, financial projections, financial reconciliation, procurement and accounting services, for the budgets of the Precision Aging Network (PAN), a federally-funded grant program. This includes one main award along with multiple subawards across 4 research study sites and 5 partner organizations. This position works under the direction of the EMBI Director/PAN Principal Investigator (PI) and PAN Program Manager. Duties & Responsibilities |
- Work is performed with moderate guidance to manage the financial administration of two accounts supporting the $60M Precision Aging Network (PAN) grant. Ensures compliance with sponsor terms, University policies/procedures and federal regulations in order to effectively monitor sibling accounts and subawards.
- Under supervision, communicates with Core and Project leads and their
financial officers for approval on subaward invoice payments and financial reconciliation. Reviews invoices and required back-ups for all subawards, tracking expenses separately for each subaward. - Works with Principal Investigator (PI) and senior personnel to ensure availability and distribution of funds to support the research and administrative mission of the PAN, alerting the supervisor of any discrepancies and obtaining approval for major purchases based on established Institutional guidelines.
- Gathers, analyzes, and prepares reports as requested, including preparation of annual reports.
- Assist in the organization of various meetings as required and administrative tasks for the EMBI as assigned.

- Excellent communication, time management, organization, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to apply knowledge, think independently, and resolve problems.
- Ability to work in fast paced, deadline driven environment.
- Proficient in software tools (Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Proficient with UAccess administrative systems (Financials, Analytics, Research, Manager self-service, etc.).
- Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping practices and principles and skill in maintaining and reconciling accounting and financial records.
- Knowledge of UA policies and procedures related to purchasing, travel, grant management, etc.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of administering federal research grants.
- Knowledge of grant management, from initiation of grant application to award, to close-out.

Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
