Overview of the Position: Strategic Sourcing role facilitates growth initiatives for the business and is responsible for managing, planning, and communicating the status of customer contract bid opportunities to internal and external stakeholders. It will align with internal business partners and work with the strategic supplier base to convert opportunities through strategic sourcing that bring value to our customers. They will develop more efficient sourcing processes to save costs and maximize profitability by negotiating with suppliers to obtain goods, material and services at the best availability and price through strategic sourcing strategies and extensive knowledge of commodities. Education / Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in administration, logistics, supply chain or related field or 5 years of equivalent experience Other Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
