Position Summary:



The Rosh Kollel will oversee the Executive Semikha program location in Young Israel of Lawrence Cedarhurst. The Rosh Kollel serves as the spiritual and academic leader of the Kollel, guiding its mission of fostering advanced Torah study and nurturing the personal and religious growth of its students. This role combines in-depth teaching with mentoring.



Position Responsibilities:




  • The Rosh Kollel will deliver shiurim (lectures) and classes in Talmud, Halacha (Jewish law), and other relevant areas of Torah study
  • The Rosh Kollel will develop and implement a curriculum that meets the Kollel's standards and goals for advanced Torah study



Experience & Educational Background:




  • 5 years of teaching Jewish studies
  • Rabbinic Ordination



Skills & Competencies:




  • The Rosh Kollel must be an expert in both Halacha and Talmud and able to deliver clear shiurim to a range of learners, in terms of skills, background, and age



Salary Range:



$96.15 - $96.15 per hour
