The final salary will depend on the candidate's qualifications. Those with 8 years or more of required experience can expect offers up to the midpoint of the salary range. Metra is one of the largest and most complex commuter rail systems in North America, serving Cook, DuPage, Will, Lake, Kane, and McHenry Counties. The agency is linking communities in Northeastern Illinois by providing safe, reliable, and efficient commuter service. The Supply Chain Operations Division consists of Materials Contract Administration and Storehouse Operations. The purpose of the department is to serve various customers within Metra. Managing the continuous supply of parts materials and services required to support Engineering, Mechanical and Transit Operations. Additionally, the department operates Metra's four storehouses and is responsible for managing Metra's fuel and P-Card programs. Reporting to the Mgr, Non-Revenue Fleet Management, the Fleet Maintenance Coordinate, coordinates the maintenance and repair of agency owned and leased support vehicles; reviews and prepares complex vendor invoices and purchase orders for payment; and maintains work log of vehicle history and maintenance files. The primary duties include: Work with end user departments and approved vendors to provide maintenance and repair services for agency owned and leased vehicles. Update and maintain database tracking the status of maintenance and repairs, repair estimates, and vendor payment; and prepare related reports. Review invoices for contract compliance and pricing, resolve discrepancies, approve for payment, and directly process credit card payments. Schedule vehicles for federal, state, local and Federal Railroad Administration safety inspections, and conduct field visits to confirm inspections were conducted and vehicles are in compliance. Prepare cost estimates, specifications, and related documents for formal requisitioning for vehicle maintenance and repair. Promote safe work practices and maintain and foster a safe work environment. Perform other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
