Basic Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Responsibilities for this Position ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES: As an RF Engineer, you will be involved in both hardware testing and designing solutions for Space Satellite Systems, leveraging advanced simulation tools and specialized lab setups to achieve exceptional RF performance while navigating the strict physical constraints and environmental conditions of launch and space. You will collaborate closely with System Engineering to ensure seamless integration of RF designs with the overall system, and with Mechanical Engineers to address thermal management challenges. In addition, you will work alongside Manufacturing to align on process capabilities and with Supply Chain to mitigate any sourcing issues. A critical part of your role will be supporting hardware testing to validate both the electrical and thermal integrity of the design, using a combination of simulations and hands-on lab measurements. You will also ensure that the design incorporates radiation-hardened components suitable for space environments. As part of the Space Qualification process, you will perform comprehensive testing, including parts screening, design-margin analysis, derating, thermal testing, vacuum testing, vibration testing, and material analysis, to confirm the system's operational integrity during launch and throughout its space mission. Risk Mitigation: ability to identify potential problems well in advance and determine appropriate risk mitigation 5. Target salary range: USD $95,384.20/Yr. - USD $105,816.80/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
