The Center for Student Excellence in the Haile College of Business at Northern Kentucky University invites applications for a full-time Director of Business Experience position. This non-tenure track position will be pivotal in leading experiential learning programs and fostering critical partnerships with business and industry leaders. The anticipated position start date is December 2024. |
Primary Responsibilities |
The Director of Business Experience will lead and expand experiential learning programs, including internships, practicums, client-based projects, and professional workshops. This role involves collaborating closely with Career Services to develop and implement career readiness initiatives that prepare students for professional success.
The Director will engage students in career-relevant experiences, offering guidance in selecting meaningful opportunities. A key aspect of the position is fostering strong partnerships with business leaders, alumni, and faculty to enhance these experiential learning programs. The role also requires representing the Center for Student Excellence in academic and community settings and coordinating, updating, and teaching the Haile Professionals course.
Finally, the Director will actively engage in fundraising, corporate outreach, and student recruitment to further support the growth and impact of these initiatives. |
Qualifications |
Candidates should possess a master's degree in business or related field of study from an
AACSB-accredited program at the time of appointment. Minimum of 5 years of recent relevant work experience in a corporate or industry setting is required.
A well-established network of employers in the Greater Cincinnati Region is highly desirable. Preference will be given to candidates with a proven track record of managing programs, effectively engaging students, and fostering strong corporate relationships. Experience in higher education or career development is considered an advantage.
