Nurse Practitioner Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Clinic Cardiology Clinic Full Time 82833BR Job Summary The UCSF HCM Center of Excellence strives to advance treatment and biomedical discovery for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy through a fourfold mission of education, research, patient care, and public service. The UCSF Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Clinic cares for patients at every stage of this genetic heart condition. Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) causes thickening of the heart muscle, affects 1 in 500 people worldwide, and is often difficult to diagnose. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $95.69 - $124.10 (Hourly Rate). To learn more about the benefits of working at UCSF, including total compensation, please visit: https://ucnet.universityofcalifornia.edu/compensation-and-benefits/index.html Required Qualifications Minimum 6 months Nurse Practitioner experience in General Cardiology or Cardiology Sub-Specialty in a ambulatory setting or inpatient cardiology or combined ambulatory and inpatient experience Minimum 6 months Nurse Practitioner experience with heart failure, electrophysiology, or hypertrophic cardiomyopathy Flexibility to orient and work in multiple clinic locations and UCSF campuses Flexibility to work with various schedules as required Preferred Qualifications Minimum one (1) year experience with cardiology clinical research trials License/Certification California driver's license (CDL) if required for position. Current national certification from an accepted certifying agency and provide by first day of work. Accepted Certifications for this position:A-GNP-C, ANP-C, FNP-C, GNP-C, AGPCNP-BC, ANP-BC, FNP-BC, GNP-BC, ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, ACNPC) Link to UCSF NP Certification Table for reference: Acceptable NP Board Certifications Checklist 2.23.24.docx Current and active RN and NP and Furnishing license in California. Complete a BRN recognized graduate master's degree program as a nurse practitioner. Obtain an active and/or transferable DEA license to California and provide evidence by 90th day of clinical practice. (It is the responsibility of the employee to transfer their DEA license to their new place of employment if from out of state, via online DEA portal and provide evidence of transfer). Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through credentialing by first clinical day. CCS enrollment as appropriate for pediatric environments. Current AHA BLS. Current AHA ACLS. State regulation requires that you have a supervising physician to practice. Incumbents with less than 6 months of NP experience will be hired as a Nurse Practitioner 1. UCSF Medical Center and Campus requires certain healthcare providers to be credentialed. In most cases this is done through its Office of Medical Affairs & Governance (OMAG) prior to the first working day. Credentialing and approval of the Standardized Procedures takes between 60-90 days but can vary.
