The John Chambers College of Business and Economics at West Virginia University (WVU) is seeking qualified applicants for a Tenure Track Assistant Professor Faculty position in Management Information Systems (MIS) beginning August 2025. The appointment will be in the Department of Management Information Systems and Supply Chain (MISSC). West Virginia University is the comprehensive Land Grant University of the State of West Virginia with a Carnegie Classification of Highest Research Activity (i.e., R1 University). Chambers College is AACSB-accredited and is the second-largest college at WVU, with over 3500 students and 200 faculty. The college houses 11 undergraduate majors, 13 minors, ten master's, and multiple doctoral programs. The MISSC Department hosts three undergraduate programs, two undergraduate minors, two master's degree programs, numerous graduate certificates, and multiple outreach centers. The MIS program has a strong B.S.B.A. program with over 250 majors and has delivered programs in business cybersecurity and business data analytics; and is one of the fastest growing areas of West Virginia University. The department also houses the Master of Science in Business Cybersecurity Management and Business Data Analytics. MIS faculty publish in top-tier journals and outlets and present at academic conferences on topics in information systems, machine learning, software security, and artificial intelligence.
