Position Description
A student employed to perform work as assigned by the supervisor.

Major/Essential Functions
The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) Office of Research, Innovation, Collaboration and Entrepreneurship (RICE) is seeking a self-motivated and disciplined marketing and events student assistant to join our RICE team and create branding, marketing, advertisements for our RICE programs offered throughout the academic year, and manage website and social media. This position begins immediately, is part time, and should average 15 hours per week. The internship position is anticipated to continue through the academic calendar year.

Core Responsibilities include:
  • Consult with RICE Directors and Research Media Specialist to determine branding and marketing needs.
  • Travel to on-campus and off-campus locations to document RICE events and programs, and post to social media channels.
  • Manage video and photography shooting and editing for programs and events.
  • Manage social media content including:
  • Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn
  • Create and coordinate marketing collateral for all RICE programs
  • Programs
  • Brochures
  • Flyers


Required Qualifications
A Texas Tech University undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in at least 6 hours employed to perform work which does not require academic training at the graduate level.
