Engineer

Overview of the Position:

Responsible for ensuring the continued operation and optimization of assembly processes. This role involves a wide range of activities, including process development, troubleshooting, and implementing improvements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop, document, implement, and continuously improve assembly processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Conduct time studies and process capability analysis to identify areas for improvement.
• Diagnose and resolve assembly process issues to identify the underlying causes of problems (root cause analysis).
• Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Implement quality control measures to prevent defects and improve product reliability.
• Provide technical support to assembly technicians and other team members, while also developing and maintaining technical documentation, including assembly procedures and work instructions.
• Oversee the maintenance and calibration of assembly equipment.
• Identify and implement equipment upgrades to improve productivity and efficiency.

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong technical background in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience with assembly processes and manufacturing operations.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment.
• Lean manufacturing principles and tools.

• Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and other quality improvement techniques.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Education / Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering with minimum 8 years related manufacturing experience and training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
