THE JOB:

The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Engineer is to maintain and repair all flooring and related equipment while assisting in daily operations and activities as assigned. Additionally, they provide administrative and technical support as directed by department management.

STARTING RATE:$38.79 an hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Maintain and repair equipment: Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on boilers, compressors, refrigeration units, generators, and other mechanical systems powered by steam, electricity, gas, air, diesel, or water.

  • Troubleshoot issues: Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical problems to ensure reliable functionality of all equipment.

  • Complete work orders: Manage and complete assigned work orders promptly, performing daily route inspections to identify and address necessary repairs.

  • Ensure safety compliance: Follow OSHA safety standards and company protocols to always maintain a safe working environment.

  • Additional Duties: Perform other job-related duties as requested.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent educational experience.

  • Availability: Must be able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC systems, and refrigeration units, including maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.

  • Safety-Oriented: Thorough understanding of OSHA safety standards and best practices for maintaining a secure work environment.

  • Certifications and Training: Relevant certifications such as EPA Section 608 (for HVAC) or similar credentials demonstrating expertise in AC or mechanical systems.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues in a timely and effective manner.

  • Experience with Tools and Equipment: Hands-on experience operating, maintaining, and repairing boilers, compressors, generators, and other critical systems.

  • Physical Requirements: This position will require you to constantly stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, and squat.
