Responsibilities

  • The Regulatory Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable Joint Commission, State, Federal, and any other regulatory standards.
  • This role maintains current knowledge on changes in standards by analyzing current legislation, evidence-based literature, and regulatory agency updates, using this information to develop policies, procedures, and processes for organizational compliance with these standards.
  • This individual monitors through oversight procedures and auditing processes and tools. The regulatory manager tracks ongoing performance and compliance of the organization to regulations.
  • They effectively communicate their findings through identification of trends as well as areas of risk and needed strategic focus to organizational leadership, and they work collaboratively with organizational leaders to cascade awareness and targeted interventions for mitigation to all involved stakeholders.
  • This position requires an expert knowledge of principles related to healthcare quality and systems management and has ultimate organizational oversight responsibility for all organizational accreditations and certifications.
  • Chairs the Accreditation Committee. Reports to the Director of Quality and Transformational Care.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or other healthcare-related field

  • Current Kansas RN Licensure

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Master's of Science in Nursing or other healthcare-related field

  • 2 years of managerial experience

  • 2 years direct involvement with regulatory/accreditation survey activities including the Joint Commission
