Job Description	The Legislative/Economic Engagement Intern/worker will observe, learn and support the office by performing a variety of duties and participate in varied activities during the 2025 Kentucky Legislative session and Spring 2025 semester. The intern will have the opportunity to hone research and writing skills, strengthen communication skills, participate in event coordination, improve networking skills, and apply skills to address real-world issues involving regulatory and legislative issues. In addition, the intern will work with business partners to help connect them to resources across campus.
Primary Responsibilities	Bill analysis and tracking, attendance and reporting of committee meetings, research relevant news Working with external partners (corporate, non-profit, individuals, etc). to identify opportunities for engagement with NKU Managing external partner on-campus engagement, such as tabling, event participation, sponsorship fulfillment, etc. Production of weekly report Coordination with on-campus partners, such as Career Services, Development, and Colleges Other duties as necessary
Qualifications	Open to any major. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), professional demeanor, strong organizational skills, customer service orientation, ability to work independently (with some supervision), attention to detail. Any candidate who is offered this position will be required to undergo a pre-employment criminal background check as mandated by stage law.
