Tax Senior

Job Summary

The Tax Senior position will help support all areas of tax compliance for our entities and their monthly/annual tax filings. This role is ideal for someone who can successfully work daily in excel with data from multiple systems and likes to be exposed to different areas of corporate taxation.

Job Requirements

• Be a backup to monthly prep for Sales and Use Tax returns & GL account reconciliations for plant locations
• Prepare monthly GST/HST filings for Canadian entities
• Assist with Property Tax renditions/assessments/payments
• Assist with any Sales/Use or Property Tax audits

• Compiling, reconciling, and reporting Tax Depreciation on fixed assets for multiple legal entities
• Review and respond to various state tax notices and audit requests
• Perform ad-hoc tax research and analysis on various issues
• Assist with State Income apportionments and State Income Tax returns
• Assist with Income Tax provision work for various entities

Experience

• Strong organization skills and pays attention to detail
• Highly proficient in Excel; knowledgeable in Word / PowerPoint/ Outlook
• SAP ERP system experience preferred but not required
• Effective communication skills (written and oral)
• Ability to analyze financial data and tax related information to execute tasks with little supervision

• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet tight deadlines
• Team player- willingness to learn different areas to help support workload

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field, or comparable work experience
• Minimum 2-4 years of related tax experience
• CPA a plus but not required
