DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW The UCSC Copy Center and its Professor Publishing Services provides copying and printing services to academic units, faculty, staff, students and other campus customers, including exams and other academic course handouts, flyers and forms. Professor Publishing services include copyright clearance services, printed course readers, and electronic course readers. The majority of the readers are produced just prior to the beginning of a quarter. Due to the fluctuations in demand for these items, the UCSC Copy Center is able to produce other quick-copy requests, such as envelopes, business cards, and campus stationery. Additionally the UCSC Copy Center produces large-format output, mailings, and manages the outsourcing of customer jobs we cannot product in house. More information can be found at: https://www.copycenter.ucsc.edu/ JOB SUMMARY Under the supervision of the UCSC Copy Center Manager and Operations Lead, incumbent performs various duties in support of the daily operations of the UCSC Copy Center. These include operating and maintaining a variety of digital- and analog-controlled equipment, including high-speed production printers, the editing and reproduction of customer jobs from hardcopy and/or softcopy originals submitted through the campus network and various portable media, pricing of orders, customer service, and various record-keeping tasks. Incumbent will also provide customer service/administrative support including assisting with LiveScan fingerprinting, outbound mail, and ID Card services.
