Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor Reports To: Facilities Engineer Department: Operations Summary: Lead a group of maintenance mechanics to perform all necessary functions to facilitate continued safe and efficient operation of all Facilities and manufacturing processes. Work includes repair or replacement of faulty parts and fabrication/installation of new processes. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Be able to troubleshoot and repair steam process heating systems. Be able to troubleshoot and repair pneumatic components and control systems. Be able to troubleshoot and repair PLC control systems, preferably Allen Bradley and/or Modicon processors. Be able to upload/download software to PLC control systems to restore operation. Be able to layout/assemble/wire equipment systems from mechanical layout drawings and electrical schematics. Understand how to troubleshoot /repair/program motor control systems. Be effective in all plumbing skills as it relates to water distribution and steam distribution systems. Act as a project lead and coordinate equipment installations and startups. Be able to safely maneuver forklifts, scissor lifts, and pallet jacks. Be able to follow instructions as defined in CMMS work orders and document work effort in software. Oversee work order assignments and closeout when completed. Add assets into CMMS software and assign appropriate PM plans. Knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot HVAC/Refrigeration systems. Understand basic rigging principles. Be able to utilize basic hand tools. Demonstrate ability to weld carbon and stainless steel structural shapes. Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment. Must demonstrate safe working practices. Ensure operation of all equipment in a safe and efficient manner according to ISO/GMP/OSHA regulations. Be able to work off-hours as necessary to support project/operations needs. Coordinate activities of two maintenance cleaners. Coordinate onsite contractor activities. Education/Experience: Associates in Applied Science degree (A.A.S) in an Electro-Mechanical Technology program in an accredited two year Technical Community College; and five or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Ability: Ability to read and understand Vigon operational and safety procedures, analyze, and interpret general equipment technical manuals. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Math Ability: Ability to apply engineering calculations and statistical analysis as necessary to support equipment/process design, and performance analysis. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software; spreadsheet software; design software (AutoCad); internet software; CMMS and ERP systems. Certificates and Licenses: Valid Driver's License HAZMAT Certification (Optional) Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervisory responsibilities are associated with this position.
