Join our dynamic team as a Sales Director, where you'll lead a dedicated sales team under the guidance of the National Sales Director. Your mission? Drive day-to-day operations within a key customer segment, maintaining existing business while aggressively pursuing new opportunities to meet and exceed sales targets. You'll cultivate and implement long-term partnerships with our most strategic clients, fostering organic growth and setting Cencora apart from the competition. This role also involves delivering impactful presentations, providing peer training, managing vacant territories, and taking on special assignments with the National Sales Director.   • This role can be based anywhere within the USA.

  • Sales leadership and execution focused on renewing and maintaining current customer base as well as generating new business opportunities buy closing new deals and meeting or exceeding defined sales targets.
  • Manages key business relationships and consults with the customer to create profitable business strategies by considering such factors as customer's vision and goals, current results/trends, TA value by GPO category, and all AB/Cencora program/service opportunities in full compliance with all corporate policies and procedures.
  • Acts as a liaison and/or escalation point between direct sales manager and customer partners appropriately cross-functionally to ensure customer issues are resolved by identifying and addressing root cause and by taking steps to prevent similar issues from arising in the future.
  • Works with leadership to set and manage team and individual goals.
  • Create a work environment where everyone is respected for their contribution.
  • Coach, counsel, and develop sales team through key performance measures (sales revenue, active accounts, gross profit, etc.) and sales metrics (completed calls, total effort, call campaign completion, sales totals from campaign, call quality, etc.)
  • Conduct performance evaluations of direct reports and develop a succession plan to ensure growth of team members.
  • Develops and implements strategic sales and marketing plans to accommodate national and regional business goals.
  • Gathers information, analyzes and develops strategies concerning dynamics that may affect the business relationship, such as changes in customer ownership or new affiliations, current market share and targets of opportunities for new growth, customers' changing requirements, competitor strengths and weaknesses, and continually communicates these strategies internally using verbal discussion and written business plans.
  • Provides feedback, industry knowledge, and specific recommendations on corporate programs, policies, products, and prices.
  • Represents AB/Cencora at all relevant industry, educational, and trade association meetings.
  • Regularly monitors and analyzes reports and data which are used consistently throughout AB/Cencora for measuring growth of regional sales; develops and implements strategies to ensure continued success of that growth.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours, as needed, to meet sales objectives;
  • Must be willing to travel extensively.

Requirements:

Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a two-year associate degree program, technical vocational training, or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires a minimum of six (6) years directly related and progressively responsible experience preferably in the health care industry, including at least two (2) years at a supervisory level.
