Job Title: Audit Analyst Risk Lead
Clearance Required: DHS Public Trust
Work Location: Remote; Washington, DC metro area preferred

Alpha Omega is seeking a qualified Audit Analyst Risk Lead to join our team and support our work with a distinguished federal agency. This role is essential in consolidating audit findings, identifying key risk items, and creating actionable enterprise-level remediation strategies. Key Responsibilities: As an Audit Analyst Risk Lead, you will be at the forefront of advancing our audit and risk management practices. You will work closely with senior leadership and various stakeholders to consolidate audit findings, identify key risk items, and develop enterprise-level remediation actions that drive the organization's risk management strategy.



  • Collaborating with leadership and stakeholders to consolidate audit findings and identify key risk items that require enterprise-level attention.
  • Driving the maturity of audit processes by developing and implementing standardized methodologies and frameworks.
  • Creating comprehensive plans that address identified risks, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic objectives and risk tolerance.
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of remediation efforts and making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
  • Analyzing and synthesizing audit data to provide clear, actionable insights to senior management.
  • Facilitating cross-functional collaboration to ensure a cohesive approach to risk management and remediation.
  • Presenting key risk items and remediation progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the audit function by encouraging the adoption of best practices and innovative approaches.


Required Qualifications:



  • Education:


    • Masters degree and 3 years of relevant experience; OR
    • Bachelors degree and 5 years of relevant experience; OR
    • No degree and 9 years of relevant experience


  • Experience/Skills:


    • Experience in developing and implementing enterprise-level remediation strategies.
    • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to identify and consolidate key risk items.
    • Expertise in audit methodologies, risk management principles, and enterprise-level remediation practices.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex risk information clearly and persuasively.
    • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and foster collaboration across departments.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of a variety of IT concepts, practices, and procedures to ensure secure operations.
    • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, frameworks, and standards that pertain to audit and risk management, such as NIST, FISMA, and other federal guidelines.
    • Experience with risk management in federal organizations, DHS experience preferred.
    • Interest in emerging technologies and their impact on risk management.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Running metrics utilizing MS Excel & Pivot tables
  • Identifying trends and the ability to speak to them
  • Strong root cause analysis & data analysis
  • Ability to drive reporting through metrics
  • Cybersecurity knowledge & experience
  • Experience aggregating data up to executives
  • ServiceNow UI, tenable, MS Office (PowerPoint & Strong Excel) experience


Certifications:



  • At least one (1) industry related certification required


Salary and Benefit Information:

The likely salary range for this position is $85,000 - $150,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
