JOB SUMMARY:

The Material Control Supervisor inventories all materials, tracks and document locations and provides reporting efforts to support material Quality Assurance Audits

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Essential Functions:




  1. Interfaces between Project/Production/QA/Customer teams for any impacts with overall project schedules
  2. Arranges transportation efforts and works closely with "Shipping and Receiving"
  3. Ensures stored material is properly stored on dunnage "off the ground" and is oriented in a way that the material will not hold rainwater
  4. Pumps and covers materials that cannot be oriented in a way to divert rainwater
  5. Performs receipt inspections upon material arrival (damaged materials, non-identifiable material markings)
  6. Receives, documents and logs material from customers and other vendors
  7. Ensures materials quantities are received according to customer provided bill of material and shipping manifest
  8. Notifies Project Management Team and Customers of any material liabilities IWO damaged, improperly marked and unreceived material
  9. Records and documents material liabilities providing weekly updates to the Project Management Team and Customer
  10. Tracks/Documents materials and equipment for proper allocation to the Production Team and facility storage
  11. Identifies, packages, labels and coordinates "loose material" shipments to the customer
  12. Develops requisitions and manages records of equipment, components and repair parts needed for Production Team
  13. Works closely with the Production/Project Teams to establish, document, and requisition consumables, equipment, and tooling ensuring quantities are in stock
  14. Reviews, documents, and modifies material logs due to updated revisions or VIR's provided by the customer and Project Management Team
  15. Ensures received materials are properly labeled and identification markings are maintained throughout the build cycle
  16. Works closely with the Project Management Team and Production Team to coordinate material movements and support scheduled "need by dates"
  17. Assesses and assigns task to employees ensuring proper execution while adhering to all company safety standards and practices
  18. Notifies safety department and second tier management of any safety incidents or issues
  19. Maintains reports, records, and documentation to reflect department activities.
  20. Compiles records of unfilled orders.
  21. Prepares bills of lading when required.
  22. Prepares records for management and maintains appropriate shipping and receiving documentation.
  23. May hire, train, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action.
  24. Assist workers in shipping and receiving activities.
  25. Performs other duties as assigned.



QUALIFICATIONS:



  1. 3 years of field experience.
  2. Solid computer skills.
  3. Excellent communication and language skills.
  4. Demonstrated organizational skills.
  5. Must pass drug test and background check.



Physical Requirements:




  1. Ability to lift 20 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds or more occasionally safely.
  2. Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time, bend, reach and move about the facility.



This is NOT a physically demanding position and may accommodate most physical disabilities. There may be occasional lifting of office materials or files weighing not more than 20 pounds. Physical dexterity may be required when operating calculators, copiers, computers and/or other typical office equipment.

Known Hazards: Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Environmental Conditions:

This position works in a production/office environment. There is exposure to hostile environments, loud noises, hazardous chemicals/fumes and airborne particles, smoke, extreme temperatures moving mechanical parts: high, precarious places.

During work-site visits will be required to wear appropriate PPE including, but not limited to:

Hard hat

Ear plugs or attenuator

Safety shoes

Dust mask or respirator

Gloves
