Harley-Davidson Motor Company is headquartered in Milwaukee, WI, where the first H-D factory was built in 1903 - a wooden shed in the backyard of the Davidson's family home. Our onsite and hybrid Milwaukee area employees work out of the Harley-Davidson Product Development Center located just outside of the city - in Wauwatosa. Join our team as aEvent and Program Coordinator.

Job Summary:

HDF is committed to driving meaningful change through collaborative partnerships in our home neighborhood, the Near West Side. In June 2024, the Harley-Davidson Foundation (HDF) opened Davidson Park, a 4.6-acre community park at Harley-Davidson's Juneau Avenue headquarters. Davidson Park strives to achieve our mission by being a unique urban green space to be utilized for mixed public and private events, unique experiences and daily enjoyment.

The Event & Programs Coordinator will plan, book, and coordinate all park events and programming. In addition, this role will also support programming in Harley-Davidson's newly developed STEAM Lab. This is a full-time position that will be expected to work on nights & weekends per event schedule.This position reports directly to the Community Impact Manager.

Job Responsibilities



  • Responsible for coordinating events and programs, ensuring smooth operation
  • Manage Davidson Park calendar to ensure, rentals, events, programming and park maintenance do not conflict
  • Track all rental requests
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients and vendors, supporting the planning of their event, updating them on progress and addressing any concerns
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors,
  • Help support HDF owned community events at Davidson Park
  • Provide regular updates and coordinate with internal teams (Marketing, Facilities, Security, etc.) and external vendors to ensure seamless event execution and alignment on event goals
  • Coordinate delivery and setup of supplies and equipment before the event
  • Serve as the on-site point of contact during events at Davidson Park, coordinating and supporting setup and breakdown to ensure a seamless event from start to finish
  • Prepare post-event reports and gather feedback from clients or attendees
  • Support HDF and STEAM programming efforts in other areas as needed


Education Requirements:



  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required



Education Specifications



  • Degree in Marketing, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.



Experience Requirements



  • A minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in event coordination
  • Ability to work nights and weekends
  • Able and willing to lift and move 50 lbs.
  • Strong organizational skills with a track record of managing multiple elements of an event and deliver a seamless experience for both clients and attendees.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in working with clients and external vendors.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
