Description

Job Summary: Work in production with metal fabrication and provide assistance in developing processes of metal fabrication and equipment. Responsible for operating EDM wire machine, cutting, drilling, and various machines. Develop new processes and equipment to manufacture in-house.

Hours for this position are: Monday - Friday; 7:00am - 3:00pm

Primary Duties:



  1. Assist in secondary metal fabrication operations as directed.
  2. Operate wire EDM and CNC equipment.
  3. Design & develop metal fabrication processes.
  4. Specify equipment for metal fabrication.
  5. Assist in the training of new employees.
  6. Receive and inspect incoming product.
  7. Any other miscellaneous production.
  8. Assist maintenance department with any fabrication.
  9. All other duties as assigned.

Ability to demonstrate the following:



  1. Maintain communications with all manufacturing and office employees
  2. Produce a high quality product.
  3. Manage time and set priorities for tasks.
  4. Assist the department supervisor in developing team goals and objectives.
  5. To meet or exceed customer expectations
  6. Any other miscellaneous duties.


Specifications:



  1. Good communication skills
  2. Metal fabrication experience.
  3. Must be certified and able to drive all lifts
  4. Ability to use CAD, Surfcam and read blueprints.
  5. Available to work overtime when necessary
  6. Ability to train new employees.
  7. Ability to comprehend written and / or verbal communications.
  8. High School diploma or equivalent.
  9. Basic math skills and the ability to read a ruler using standard and millimeter measurements


Job Relationship:



  1. Reports directly to Jointmaster Supervisor.
  2. Works closely with Product Managers and product Development Department.


Authority:



  • Authority to stop production for non-conforming quality or safety compliance
  • Make decisions on product conformance to specifications.
  • To enforce company policies and procedures.
