Role Objective

The role of the Logistics engineer is to design and implement effective supply chain systems, designing solutions that optimize the flow of goods, information and resources. They employ a blend of analytical skills and practical knowledge to develop and improve Logistics processes, ensuring that products are delivered to the right place, at the right time, and at the optimal cost. The role is critical in minimizing waste, reducing expenses, and enhancing customer satisfaction within the complex networks of transportation, distribution, and inventory management. The role will oversee Logistics Projects and Mange the Logistics and Transportation database and data analytics within the Logistics Execution Department.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Analyze and optimize logistics procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
  • Develop the GOJO Transportation Network to optimize cost, transit time and service
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Logistics solutions
  • Oversee the implementation of new Logistics solutions and monitoring their performance
  • Train teams on new Logistics tactics to ensure smooth execution
  • Measuring, reporting, and improving key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Logistics activities
  • Sponsor and/or leads Logistics projects
  • Design, maintain and manage the GOJO Transportation data, analytics and scorecards
  • Work with TMS Provider to support shipping activity and shipment planning
  • Oversee the performance of carrier, TMS and 3PL relationships
  • Mange Inbound and Outbound Transportation compliance to and from customer and/or vendor
  • Provide feedback and establishes corrective action with external logistics partners using scorecards for cost, quality and service performance
  • Support Logistics sourcing initiatives
  • Identify cost savings and process improvement opportunities
  • Manage customer freight policy and freight min recommendations
  • Drive process improvements for logistics network
  • Ensure regulatory compliance as it pertains to Logistics/Transportation
  • Ensure customer routing guide compliance
  • Develop, implement and enforce departmental work instructions, SOP's and job aids.
  • Member of the GOJO customer facing Team(s)
  • Member of the Logistics Leadership team
  • Support managing the GOJO Dedicated Fleet and GOJO tanker operation
  • Represent the Logistics Team on strategic customer calls and meetings
  • Manage direct reports as needed

Education and Experience

  • BA/BS. Ideally in Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, Transportation or Logistics
  • Position requires 5+ years Logistics management or similar experience

  • Manages day to day carrier, TMS and 3PL Operations
  • Manage GOJO Logistics support staff

  • Coordinates with Logistics Execution Manager and Logistics Systems and Compliance Manager for any related projects
