Position Summary Within the Classroom to Career Hub (C2Hub), the Career Engagement Team supports and guides student career development and career readiness. The Career Counseling Specialist provides direct career support to students, develops innovative strategies and uses technology to ensure career support is available for all MSU Denver students. This position works to ensure career support is available to all MSU Denver students and our programs are aligned to scalability and our goal of 100% of MSU Denver students participating in career engagement activities. Services include individual career advising, career assessment interpretations, class presentations, drop-in assistance, career workshops and career technology platforms. The Career Counseling Specialist supervises undergraduate and graduate student employees and reports to the Director of Career Engagement in the Classroom to Career Hub. Work Hours
Salary for Announcement The minimum of the pay range for this position is $45,300. We anticipate the qualified candidate to be placed between $47,300 - $60,000. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. Additionally, Student Affairs has committed to tying our salaries to an understanding of a living wage. To that end, we will not pay less than $47,300. The above salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
